My art is the result of the techniques that I've found can help calm my mind. Regardlessof my mood, if I can find it in me to sit very still and work on my art my stress lessens, my fears go into hiding, and in spite of whatever ugly thing may be in my head, something pretty could come from it.
I want to show you what it looks like to live life riding a rollercoaster while your brain is on fire. I want to spend weeks on a painting so that you can absorb it all in seconds. Because they're not really about any given thing at all in the end, just all of my random ideas written down on paper in a language that anyone can understand.
I've been working on art for quite a few years now, and my progression has led me to keep refining my writing into these lines of all my thoughts. I think of them as illuminated manuscripts for the current era. No words, no big ideas, simply having a blast with bright colors and drawing lots of very precise little lines and shapes. The writing is the fun part. The words just got in the way, so I removed them.
